Pilates is a slow, controlled form of exercise centred around the core. Our classes combine strengthening work along with exercises to improve mobility and flexibility.
It’s recommended by GPs, chiropractors, physiotherapists and osteopaths, and is one of the best forms of exercise for those with back related issues.
Pilates helps to…
- Reduce back pain and sciatica.
- Strengthen back muscles.
- Rehabilitate injuries.
- Improve posture.
- Increase mobility and flexibility.
- Strengthen core muscles.
- Strengthen the pelvic floor (so very good for post-natal women and those suffering from stress incontinence).
- Improve body awareness.
- Improve balance and reduce the risk of falls.
